Dog Hiking

THE BENEFITS OF "DOG HIKING" ARE THAT YOUR DOG GETS TO:

1). Be in Nature! (and not in an indoor daycare or at the same confined and fenced-in dog park);
2). Blaze through forest trails! (where there's lots to see and smell which keeps your dog happy!);
3). Socialize with new dogs and people! that become their good friends!;
4). *Run free off-leash! (A dog that doesn't get to RUN, is just sad and disadvantaged);
5). Swim and play in water! (Ponds, streams, ravines you name it!)
6). Avoid bad behaviour (By getting LOTS of exercise, your dog is less likely to behave poorly at home!)
7). Become a STAR on the hiking blog! (for dogs that go hiking, the blog is super fun for the owners).

*Dogs are off-leash: Where it is permissible; Not all at once; On private properties; And under supervision.
*Dogs not able to be off-leash are also welcome to come hiking and benefit from the forest environment!

It's the BEST TIME your dog can have on a daily basis! It's just a fact.

Dog Walking

This is for those pups that for-whatever-reason can't go hiking but would still benefit from getting out during the day. This group walk gets your dog out for exercise and socialization while walking the local neighbourhood park AND private tracts of land where your dog can safely run off-leash. I recommend this service over "daycare service" AND over "dog park visits" because these places are not entirely safe for your dog. NUMEROUS mishaps occur in these places that you will never hear of. As such, your dog will quite possibly be the recipient of bad behaviour in all its forms from another dog(s). Not so with neighbourhood walks.

FOR PUPPIES:

This service is also great for puppies because they should not go for long walks until they stop growing. This is VERY important. (A good rule of thumb is a ratio of five minutes exercise per month of age [up to twice a day] until the puppy is fully grown, i.e. 30 minutes [up to twice a day] when six months old etc. Once they are fully grown, they can go out for much longer).
